The shire is a popular tourism destination with pristine beaches, rainforest retreats and hinterland hideaways.ABOUT THE ROLEPositionCouncil is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to supervise, coordinate and motivateCouncils Urban Vegetation and Sportsfield Maintenance teams.This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and effectivenessto ensure the delivery of high-quality horticultural and grounds maintenance services.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of horticulture practices, and a commitment to maintaining safe, attractive and sustainable environments for the community.To be successful you will bringBehaviour that positively demonstrates Council''s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.Relevant qualifications in a relevant horticulture field.Demonstrated experience in delivering a wide range of horticultural services.Demonstrated experience in and ability to manage and lead teams.Demonstrated commitment to providing high level customer service.Proven experience in budget administration, contract management and project management.The rewardsA salary range of $92,600 to $106,200 (plus 12% superannuation), dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
