Fortescue is leading the world with our plan to decarbonise our iron ore operations, projects that harness renewable energy and the development of technology that will change our planet forever.Work Location: Perth Fortescues Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar peopleRoster: Monday to FridayAs a key member of the Global Project Services and Controls team, you are primarily responsible for the provision of Risk Management and Leadership:To proactively support and inform decsion making, coaching and facilitation of project teams'' development and implementation of the Risk Management frameworkEnsure business and project integration meets project development deliverables and the risk managment process, across the project phases and gating requirementsAccountable for the assurance of all reporting (project and monthly) and for maintaining the required risk compliance across the risk management platform.The role is the key point of contact on risk and assurance for the project teams throughout the project life cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Risk Management Standard in accordance with Project and Corporate requirementsWork with a portfolio of projects, project teams and risk champions to ensure risk registers capture key study/execution risks and corresponding controls and treatment actionsEnsure regular risk reviews to proactively meet the Projects deliverables to support project phase, gate and governance requirements, and promote project team ownership and accountability for riskProactively support the project portfolio so that material risks are identified, escalated and addressed earlyProvide assurance and executive summaries as per regular reporting requirementsProvide support to enable the risk platform being maintained, compliant and accurate to support reporting requirements.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree qualification or equivalent risk management exposure in a project discipline. Risk related certifications and expertise (e.g., risk quantification) would be advantageousMinimum 5+ years experience of supporting large capital projects in project risk roles, preferably in the resources and renewable energy sector and involved in complex construction and engineering deliveryAble to adapt to multidisciplinary requirements, communicate with various stakeholders across an international business operating continuously in all time zonesStrong commercial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, gained through successful project deliveryDemonstrated experience in providing robust project decision support, assurance and governanceMust enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with other like-minded team members and adjacent projects, with occasional travel required.Our CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
