This includes the development, implementation, review, and assessment of external and internal campaigns through a variety of methods.Produce, collate and edit content, including taking photographs as required, for Councils key publications, including corporate documents and strategies, and print and digital communication channels.Continually improve the level, effectiveness, consistency, and quality of Councils communications and engagement through different methods such as newsletters, posters, videos, events and the intranet.Key RequirementsAn appropriate degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field or equivalent experienceExperience in developing and implementing effective external and internal communications and staff engagement strategies and campaigns and building support for organisational objectives.Extensive communications experience and demonstrated knowledge of communications in a government or political context.Sound project management skills to achieve work goals and to meet planned targets, deadlines, and commitments with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to establish, develop, and maintain new systems, strategies and procedures relating to external and internal communications and stakeholder engagement.Highly developed verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.Exceptional ability to write and edit copy to a high standard, including interpreting sensitive and complex information into simple and plain language.Ability to relay information in an easy to understand and helpful manner.Your commencing annual salary will range from $108,604.71 to $124,895.42 + Superannuation dependent on your experience and qualifications.Free shuttle bus between the North Ryde Office and North Ryde Metro StationCommitment to providing opportunities for work/life balanceHybrid work from home and office arrangements available for eligible positionsWork 37.5 hours and enjoy a rostered day off approx. every 3 weeksLong service leave after 5 years, then accrued monthly18 weeks paid parental leave (for eligible employees)3 extra grant days at Christmas to ensure you have time to enjoy the holidayAnnual performance reviews and Award increasesOpportunity to sign up as a fitness passport memberVarious health & well-being initiatives (i.e. flu vaccinations, skin checks, etc.)How to applyPlease ensure you give full answers to the online application questions, showcasing your abilities and experience.
