With 1000 staff in APAC across 23 Disciplines, we provide global consultancy advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Environmental Consultantto join our internationally recognised Environmental Approvals, Closure and Managementteam based inour Adelaide CBDoffice or Nuriootpaoffice. The team provides a wide range of project management, environmental impact assessment, post-consent environmental management services and works alongside other specialist teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.Articulate, motivated and reliable, you will have a 5-10 years'' experience in consulting, government or industry.You will enjoy undertaking project work whilst mentoring junior membersand developing client relationshipsthroughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national EAC&M Group (circa 70 staff across 10 offices) and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business. The successful applicant will be pivotal to the continued development of the EAC&M team.Job tasks and responsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Providing advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team membersProject Management of interesting environmental approvals projects across multiple industriesAssisting in the development and implementation of team business plans and strategiesDeveloping, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members, particularly, across other Technical Disciplines within South Australia and nationallyWorking within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectorsDelivering clear and precise, high-quality reportsOccasional travel to undertake field assessments/ site familiarisation walkoversSkills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will need:A degree in Environmental Science, Town Planning, Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 5-10 years'' experience in environmental roles in consulting, industry or regulationDemonstrated experience working on or leading multidisciplinary projectsDemonstrated client management expertise and business development skills advantageousDemonstrated knowledge of SA & Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines.Experience in the mining, infrastructure, renewables, power and/or agribusiness sectors.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAustralian Citizenship or rights to work in AustraliaWe are most proud of our diverse, friendly and expert team, who work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.Whether youre enjoying our flexible hybrid work environment, looking to excel through our defined career progression program, or at that time in your life where a supportive and generous parental leave scheme is key Our benefits aim to ensure that we cater for all.You can find a comprehensive list here.Next StepsIf joining a Global Environmental Consultancy with a renowned environmental CV in SA, as well as a relaxed and supportive team excites you, apply now.Unsolicited resumes from recruitment consultants will not be accepted.
