About the Role As a Head of Events Marketing, you will lead a small team to deliver audiences for our upcoming events series in (but not exclusive to) Australia and New Zealand, which includes conferences, awards and roundtable events. Your objective will be to ensure that we hit audience targets using a range of digital of offline marketing channels at our disposal (email, social, paid media, telemarketing), whilst making recommendations for additional channels that could help achieve our goals. You may also be expected to help with promotions to attract potential sponsors. This role calls for experience working on face-to-face events, an strong understanding of success events marketing strategies, skills with email creation and deployment, an understanding of data and analytics, high attention to detail and superb organizational skills. The role include management of two marketing executives. Your responsibilities will include: Working with the VP Events Marketing to deploy a programmatic, digital-focused marketing transformation strategy in the ANZ team Being a super user of marketing systems within the ANZ events marketing team, helping to create automated data selections and emails using Adestra, develop dynamic event websites via Cvent and WordPress, and deploy pre-programmed and highly engaging social media posts via LinkedIn and other applicable social networks Being a custodian of our event brands in the region, helping to ensure we deliver on our value proposition in every communication Identifying new sources of data to increase the reach of our marketing campaigns Helping the product team shape the event strategy using insights gleaned from marketing activities and event surveys Communicating with global event audience teams and contribute to centralised best practices Contributing to daily/weekly/monthly reporting on attendee numbers/demographics About You Paid and non-paid event marketing and audience development experience Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels (email, website, social media etc) Knowledge of the technology industry and/or marketing practices in the APAC region, plus work experience internationally, or with international clients also preferable Ability to think strategically with solid business/brand knowledge, organizationally savvy and business acumen Understanding of CRM/ data management technology & processes Logical and number driven performance reporting skills Strong interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation Experience with leading and managing teams Cultural awareness and sensitivity About the Benefits Convenient Location: Our office in the heart of North Sydney provides an easily accessible commute.
