About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an energised leader andexperienced professional to lead the Maddocks communications andmedia initiatives. Reporting to our Director of Business Development and CEO, thisrole will also have the following responsibilities: Drive and deliver a bold strategy to elevateMaddocks reputation for client excellence and amplifyour brand in the market. Lead the charge on major firm-wide campaigns, crafting andexecuting PR plans that get noticed and stand out. Spot media opportunities and proactively build a stronger,more visible external profile for Maddocks. Champion the evolution of our communications channels from media to website to social media ensuringtheyre always fresh, impactful, and aligned. Bridge external and internal communications to energise ourpeople and keep them inspired by Maddocks vision,values, and achievements. Partner closely with the CEO and key stakeholders toanticipate reputational risks, develop smart mitigationstrategies, and confidently steer the firm through crisis orissues management. About You As our new Head of Communications you will work closely with ourexecutive team, partners and the wider business development team.You will need to be conscientious, have the highest standards ofprofessional conduct and want to continuously improve on everythingyou do. An inquisitive mind, strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills are highly valued. To excel in this role you will also need: 5 years experience working in a high energycommunications role in professional services or a corporateenvironment alongside experience managing teams Proven experience in developing and implementing externalcommunications strategies, including liaising with mediacontacts Results focused with experience liaising, coaching andinfluencing exec teams, partners and senior lawyers Ability to forge and grow relationships both internally andexternally Thrive in a high energy environment where no 2 days are thesame Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongsidestrong organisational skills and attention to detail Be an effective team-player and have highly developedinterpersonal skills including confidence, diplomacy andability to gain credibility quickly Proven track record in delivering operational excellenceand using data to drive decision making Be committed to championing innovation and best practice inclient service and thought leadership Maddocks is simply a great place to do great work.
