Griffith City Council is proactive and energetic and passionate about creating ongoing opportunities for our growing population.Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR (Permanent)The Development Assessment Coordinator is to provide and ensure efficient processing and decision making relating to applications for development, land use and subdivision proposals within the Planning environment in the Griffith City Council LGA. This will include providing guidance and input into planning matters throughout the development assessment process, maintaining a customer focused approach, together with processing development applications.Qualifications: The successful applicant will be required to have completed a Degree in Planning, be eligible for Planning Institute of Australia registration and hold an Australian Class C driver licence.Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will be required to have extensive experience in Development Assessment, interpret and apply legislation, policy and knowledge to fulfil the requirements of the position and lead a small professional team.Hours of work: 35 hours per week.Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary range from $108,102.72 to $118,908.24 (Grade 19). Award increase applicable from July 2025.
