Through this program, the Waalitj Foundation delivers a range of enhanced services including building job ready skills, training and qualification support, mentoring, networking opportunities and post-placement support.About the Position:We are searching for passionate Employment Mentors to join our Workforce Australia program. This program aims to enhance employment prospects for individuals in Kalgoorlie by providing crucial support and guidance.We are looking to fill two full-time positions under one and two year fixed term employment contracts until July 2026 and July 2027.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide personalized one-on-one support to participants in their job search and readiness process.Conduct face-to-face assessments to identify barriers to employment and create tailored action plans.Assist participants with resume and job application preparation, as well as job search strategies.Maintain up-to-date participant records and documentation in compliance with departmental guidelines.Collaborate with external service providers to facilitate training, counselling, and job opportunities.Essential Skills and CompetenciesTo be suitable for this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Outlook.A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by individuals relying on income support payments.Knowledge of the local labour market and community support services.Experience in mentoring or coaching, particularly with diverse and vulnerable populations.High level of interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.A flexible, proactive approach with a commitment to high professional standards.QualificationsRelevant clearance checks (e.g., NPC, WWCC).What We Offer You:An attractive salary including Salary Packaging9 day working fortnightEmployee Assistance ProgramStaff Giving ProgramHealth and Wellbeing ProgramFree parking on siteA friendly, supportive and flexible work environmentAbout the Waalitj Foundation:The Waalitj Foundation is a not for profit organisation that strives to be a leader in the provision of education, business and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
