About usLocated 15km from the Townsville CBD, Sun Metals is one of the most technologically advanced zinc refineries in the world, producing Special High Grade Zinc metal, Zinc Alloy metal and by-products of Sulfuric Acid, Copper, Cadmium, and Zinc Ferrite.Our process involves Roasting, Leaching, Purification, Electrolysis and Casting with sales to both domestic and international markets.Our mission is to become the best zinc refinery in the world.This means that we are (1) the safest; (2) the most environmentally responsible; and (3) the most competitive zinc refinery in the world.We are the first refinery in the world to join RE100 -an initiative bringing together the world''s most influential businesses committed to 100% renewable electricity by 2050.Having recently built the largest (125MWac) integrated industrial use solar plant in Australia and, in conjunction with sister company Ark Energy Corporation, now building the SunHQ Hydrogen Hub, we are well on track.About the roleSun Metals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Advisor to coordinate and manage all contract management framework activity, provide contract management advice, and contribute to enhance contract functions including but not limited to staff training on processes, continuous improvements to contracts and ensure alignment with legislative requirements.You will manage end-to-end contracting processes from tender development, submission, evaluation and award.Monitor performance against key performance indicators and contract conditions.Report and deliver corrective action when necessary to ensure consistent customer service is received.Your effective oversight of contracts will facilitate the implementation of cost savings within the supply chain and timely and successful execution of cost improvements within agreed parameters. Ideally, your experience will be within metalliferous refining, mining or heavy industry.You will maintain awareness of current and upcoming business activities.You will work closely with internal customers to assist with planning and scoping requirements.Source appropriate and competitive options.Ensure compliance related to contract regulations, legislation and site procedures.You will work a Monday to Friday roster.About youThis position is suited to a self-motivated person with demonstrated professional knowledge of contract and relevant contract law. You will have the confidence and capability to interpret contractual terms/conditions and provide advice related to contractual risk or improvements.Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations.Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritise competing workloads.Ideally, you will have experience with JD Edwards or similar Contract Management System.With a high level of ethics, you will positively represent our company among vendors, contractors and the local community.You enjoy working in a team, can work independently when required and have sound written and verbal communication skills.Relocation will be considered for the right candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
