PLEASE NOTE: Being an Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational qualification for this role under Section 25 of the QLD Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:The Girringun IPA Administration Assistant will provide confidential administrative support to Girringuns IPA management, including its operation, management, and maintenance within the Girringun IPA region. In accordance with Annual Project Plans, the IPA Administration Assistant is required to:Ensure IPA Program meetings/workshops are effectively organised.Collate and provide required documentation for the IPA Coordinator and Team.Provide secretarial and administrative support for meetings and workshops.Maintain an efficient filing system (electronic and hard copies).Travel and flexible working hours may be required.Liaise and engage with traditional owners within the Girringun region.Coordinate all IPA Team travel arrangements for meetings, workshops, and conferences.Develop and maintain awareness of the Girringun IPA and Traditional Owner priorities, upholding cultural protocols.Support the IPA Coordinator in implementing caring for country initiatives alongside the IPA, TUMRA, and Rangers Coordinators.Maintain and update stakeholder, project, and funding databases to ensure accurate records.Support asset and inventory management for IPA program assets such as vehicles, equipment, and supplies.Assist in organising training sessions, tracking progress, and managing training records for staff and Traditional Owners.Perform any other duties as requested by the IPA Coordinator.The position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period and an annual performance review.
