Bede Polding College is a Catholic co-educational school for students from Year 7 to Year 12, providing contemporary, student-centred education in a nurturing environment.About The OpportunityAs the Assistant Leader of Learning (HSIE), you will play a vital role in promoting quality teaching and learning within the faculty. Your key responsibilities will include:Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhancedUnderstanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learningSound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedbackCommitted to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional developmentWork creatively and constructively within a range of ''communities'' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their studentsAble to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learningAssist the Leader of Learning to ensure the compliance of the faculty.About YouTo be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate alignment with the core purpose and values of Bede Polding College, along with:Tertiary qualifications in Education.NESA Accreditation.Statements of Service.Valid Working with Children Check (essential).Exceptional communication and collaborative teamwork skills.Please indicate your teaching areas in your Cover Letter.How To ApplyPlease include the following essential elements in your application:Cover Letter: Addressed to the Principal (Greg Malone), introducing yourself and outlining how you meet the position criteria.Resume: Detailing your education and experience.Referees: Contact details for at least three referees, including your last two principals.Please note: The interview process may commence prior to the closing date.
