Job Description

The National Mental Health Commission ("the Commission") is seeking a Lived Experience Capability Advisor to lead the Commission''s efforts to build organisational capability for purposeful and effective lived experience engagement and participation.The position will work with the Commissions Executive and staff to collectively implement a high-level plan for capability building that has been developed based on an environmental scan of current and emerging practice developments related to lived experience engagement and participation within the public sector.This is a non-ongoing position with an initial term of 12 to 18 months, with the possibility of extension if there is an ongoing need for the role beyond this term.While this position is non-ongoing, a merit pool will be created through this recruitment process to enable suitable candidates to be appointed to other relevant ongoing and non-ongoing positions, should they arise in the future.Desirable ExperienceLived experience that is relevant to the role and functions of the National Mental Health Commission and/or the National Suicide Prevention OfficeExperience working in or with government and public service processes and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
