Job Summary Provides nursing care based on scientific principles, utilizing judgment supported by evidence and nursing theory. Coordinates and manages patient care to restore health for individuals and the community. Minimum Education Requirements Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Applicants with an Associates degree must obtain a BSN within three years of employment Graduation from an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN) Current Ohio RN license Experience and Training At least one year recent experience for PRN RNs One year RN experience required for weekend positions Additional experience or certifications may be required for specialty units Skills and Competencies Full range of body motion, manual dexterity, and coordination Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Corrected vision and hearing within normal range Ability to work under stress and irregular hours Exposure to hazardous conditions typical in clinical settings Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required within six months if applicable Population-Specific Competency Additional certifications may be required for certain specialties (e.g., PALS) Ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations Physical Demands Heavy exertion possible, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally Salary ranges from $33.00/hr to $52.00/hr, depending on experience and location.
