These are onsite opportunities in Hobart, ideally full-time, supporting internal and external communications across a major statewide initiative.About the WorkThe Bluegum Health Transformation Program is a major government investment aimed at transforming Tasmanias healthcare system to be more connected, person-centred, and digitally enabled.As a Senior Communications Officer, youll join the Bluegum Stakeholder Engagement team, helping shape the public narrative and internal communications of this transformative program. Youll take the lead on proactive and reactive communications, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and issues management across a high-impact portfolio of work.This is a senior, hands-on role where youll be advising executive leaders, crafting strategic communication plans, and delivering compelling content across multiple channels.What Youll Need:High level strategic communications expertise developed through extensive experience, including the ability to develop, implement and evaluate communications strategies.High-level professional media relations experience with demonstrated experience in the provision of media advice and support on major public issues including constructive and successful liaison with Strategic Communications representatives.Highly developed written communication skills, including the capacity to produce high quality documents in a variety of communication formats for a range of target audiences.Highly developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and represent the Agency on operational matters.Proven ability to provide authoritative, specialist and effective advice to managers and colleagues on the development and delivery of strategic and operational media and communications matters and the ability to understand the contemporary political and organisational environment. Duties/ActivitiesOperate with a significant degree of independence and autonomy in the execution of key communication activities.Provide specialist advice to the senior leadership team, including the Chief Clinical Information Officer, BHT Portfolio Director, Program Managers and colleagues on strategic and operational media and communications matters.Develop, lead, implement and evaluate internal and external communications activities in support of the Agencys and the Governments policies, projects and initiatives for BHT.Prepare and review a wide range of written materials for various audiences in numerous formats, including media releases, online and social media platforms, video content and marketing material.Establish, develop, and manage productive relationships and liaise with internal and external key stakeholders to advance the delivery of agreed DHT media and communications goals.Graphic design and/or presentation layout skills desirable.Interested?To express your interest, please reply to this job advert by COB Wednesday 11 June (extended to COB Friday 13 June).About K2 ProjectsK2 Projects is a Hobart-based ICT consulting firm.
