You will get the opportunity to work as part of a friendly and supportive team who will foster your growth and develop your career whilst providing exceptional support to our students.The position is a part-time, permanent role for three days per week, in our North Melbourne office.Key Responsibilities include:Prepare for and deliver classes in accordance with all the relevant standardsMark student assessments and update results on the student management systemProvide students with timely feedback and supportLiaise with admin to ensure student records are up to dateUndertake professional development to ensure industry currencyCollate feedback from students promptly and liaise with the Training Manager to ensure that student related issues are resolved effectivelySelection criteria:Diploma or higher in Community Services or related disciplineCertificate IV Training and Assessment including LLN unitA minimum of 3-4 years'' experience working in the community services sector (not including support work)A minimum of 1 year experience in an education role (desirable)Ability to work in a multi-cultural environmentAbility to engage the class and draw on own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experienceDemonstrated capacity to motivate and coach students to excel in their courseProactive and positive approach to teaching adult learnersSCEI provides equal opportunity in employment to all suitably able people, without discrimination or harassment based on a personal characteristic, protected under the Equal Opportunity Act.Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
