Utilizes evidence-based methodology to build educational plans and programs. Demonstrates expertise in clinical practice, and collaborates and consults with clinical administrative disciplines. Continually evaluates quality data, including nursing quality indicators, to guide educational needs of nursing staff. Collaborates with clinical nurse specialists on evaluation of best practices and supports the implementation and education of evidence based care strategies. Coordinates with clinical nurse specialists and workforce RN educators in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency attainment for Summa Health System staff.Formal Education RequiredMasters Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field ED preferred.Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in Masters Degree program required.Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of OhioGraduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)Experience & Training RequiredThree (3) years Professional RN experienceOne (1) year experience in education of adultsBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationACLS, PALS certification required based on area of specialtyANCC Nursing Professional Development Board Certification (preferred)Other Skills, Competencies And QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary personnel, Medical Staff, and community representativesAbility to use computer and audiovisual equipmentPopulation Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignityLevel Of Physical DemandsMedium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled$33.66/hr - $50.49/hrThe salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
