In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.About the Role:The Site Director / DON role is pivotal to daily operations, service delivery and professional nursing issues within the portfolio of Craigieburn Community Hospital. The role will work collaboratively as a member of the senior leadership team within the Division of Community Hospitals to set the direction and continuously review and improve the operation of the services to maximise the operational management of the portfolio to deliver optimum patient care, within the overall strategic direction of Northern Health.This position is responsible for:Professional senior leadership of nursing services on the site including developing and embedding standards of practice through the provision of safe, quality and compassionate nursing careBoth Operational and Professional lead for the Craigieburn site.Leading and managing change within a diverse and changing environmentLiaising and providing site based advice and expertise on matters pertaining to Craigieburn Community Hospital.Supporting the Divisional Director for Community Hospitals in all matters pertaining to the portfolio of Craigieburn Community Hospital.Supporting the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer in professional matters, portfolios or projectsThis position is ongoing full time 80 hours a fortnightly with a monthly Accrued Day Off.To be successful in this role you will have:Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years'' experience in management at the level ofNurse Unit Manager or Director Operations (or equivalent) is essentialPostgraduate qualification in management (or similar) or a willingness to be working towards sameWorking knowledge of access and patient flow acute and sub-acute medicineProven ability to lead teams positively to deliver agreed goals and outcomes and develop a high performing workforce.Experience in working across large multi-campus organisationsAbility to adopt a strategic approach to managing complex and challenging operational issuesNext Steps . .If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
