This is your chance to be part of something special from the very beginning!The Role :Club General Managers (CGMs) are primarily responsible for the overall performance & operations of the club. This role will be key in driving a culture of excellence, community, and high performance, working alongside our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers, and Directors.Key Responsibilities:Management of the clubs overall budgets and financials, including Member Movement/Growth, EBITDA, & Retention strategies.Overseeing a Big-box style gym with 3000+ members, including a Crche, Retail & Apparel store, and Caf.Manage the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring high-quality facilities are maintained.Recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of staff members.Deliver training, mentoring, and support for the Club Department Heads, running weekly meetings to engage & motivate teams.Oversee staff rostering to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours, approve leave & manage payroll.Utilize internal software systems like Clubware, Debit Success & Gym Sales to meet internal communication and procedural standards.Plan, manage, and execute club events such as Open Days & 8-week Challenges.Conduct statistical reporting & analysis.What youll need to succeed:Experience in a similar role - must be a Big Box Gym with more than 20 staff and over 2,000 members.Experience in a KPI-driven environment with a natural drive to achieve targets and team goals.Ability to build rapport with people from varied backgrounds and a desire to help people succeed.Growth mindset, with a genuine passion for fitness & sales.Problem-solving skills and resilience.Outstanding communication skills - able to listen, understand, empathize, and influence.Customer-focused with a desire to achieve exceptional outcomes.Role model qualities, living by health values and behaviors.A positive, proactive attitude with a thirst for learning and growth.Reliability, professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.Motivated, adaptable team player with multitasking and initiative skills.Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.Ability to communicate and uphold policies & procedures.Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willingness to acquire).Australian working rights.What we''ll offer you in return:A Thriving Culture: Be part of the fitness industrys most exciting and rapidly expanding brand.Career Growth: Opportunities for training, development, and advancement through our Future Leaders program.Perks:Relocation support to Mackay (for the right candidate).FREE gym membership at all Fitness Cartel locations.Discounts on supplements, apparel, and caf products.Access to Merse Wellness Spas at discounted rates.Birthday Leave - have your birthday off, and get paid for it!Work in state-of-the-art fitness clubs offering 24/7 access, cycle studios, reformer Pilates, saunas, cafs, and more.How to Apply:Click APPLY to submit your resume and a cover letter explaining why you want to work with Fitness Cartel and what you can bring to our team.
