The region offers excellent education, recreation, cultural, social, health facilities, and a developing tourism sector.Early Childhood Second in ChargeSalary: $70,960.77 per annum pro rata (plus in-charge allowance)Closing: Friday 20 June 2025Full Time Temporary (Until 31 July 2026)Greater Shepparton City Councils Childrens Services seeks a temporary full-time Early Childhood Second in Charge/Educational Leader at Arthur Dickmann Childrens Centre. The role is based in the services office, working alongside a Service Leader and an Administration Officer.The initial hours are part-time, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Thursday and Friday, increasing to full-time from 30 July 2025. Start and finish times may vary based on service needs.Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Service Leader and team to implement a holistic, play-based curriculum, fostering an inclusive environment that promotes children''s interests, culture, and abilities, leading the development of a high-quality educational program, and supporting operational requirements.Arthur Dickmann Childrens Centre offers 3-year-old and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs, Long Day Care services, and Maternal and Child Health services.Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care settingCurrent HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Criminal History Check (valid within six months)Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)Protecting Children Mandatory reporting and other obligations in early childhoodFor further information, please contact Jodie Sutherland, Early Childhood Education Service Leader, at (03) 5821 3880.Note: This position is subject to a 6-month qualifying period according to Fair Work Australia minimum employment standards.
