Queanbeyan, New South Wales Full-time Description The Package: $52.92 - $58.48 gross per hour ($104,586.04 - $115,562.20 gross per annum) (evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) + 11.5% superannuation and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26. Full-time 38 hours per week, with 9-day fortnight conditions. The position requires participation in the on-call roster, with additional overtime and on-call allowances. A leaseback vehicle with private use is available. The Role: The Utilities Branch manages water, sewer, recycled water, and stormwater networks for Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. The Coordinator, Water and Sewer (Queanbeyan) oversees networks in Googong, Jerrabomberra, and Queanbeyan. Leading a team of 2 Senior Water Industry Operators, 14 Water Industry Operators, and contractors, they serve a community of over 55,000 residents and manage an operational budget of around $3 million. Daily tasks may include: Constructing stormwater mains Responding to emergencies like burst water mains or sewer chokes Communicating with residents about concerns Preparing quotes for private works The Utilities Branch values the right attitude.
