You will focus on the Health, Safety, Environment, and quality of the organisation, liaise with the MMA''s Facility Management and other key stakeholders, and assist in the safety of the site.Summary of the Position:As a HSEQ Coordinator, you will coordinate and support the delivery of site-wide Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment compliance systems and processes, including developing and implementing policies and procedures and completing reporting and audits. The HSEQ Coordinator is to promote quality management, achievement, and performance improvements throughout the MMA through the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous review of the HSEQ system that ensures MMA systems and policies are current, relevant, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.ResponsibilitiesOHS ManagementLead the implementation and maintenance of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in accordance with ISO 45001.Conduct and support internal and external audits, including scheduling, reporting, and action close-out.Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., WorkSafe) and external OH&S advisors as needed.Ensure effective communication of OH&S information to employees, contractors, visitors, and relevant stakeholders.Monitor compliance with incident, injury, near-miss, and hazard reporting systems.Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015)Represent MMA as the Quality Management System (QMS) lead auditor.Manage and maintain documentation to ensure compliance and successful ISO 9001 certification.Review audit findings and ensure continuous improvement in line with quality obligations.Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) and associated documentation.Provide support on environmental issues and ensure alignment with legislative and market requirements.Collaborate with site teams to manage environmental impacts and support sustainability goals.Audit and Risk OversightDevelop and manage audit schedules across HSEQ functions.Review internal and external audit reports and ensure timely resolution of findings.Advise management on risk and compliance issues, and support implementation of mitigation measures.Documentation and Compliance ManagementMaintain and routinely review all HSEQ-related documentation (policies, SOPs, forms, etc.) in consultation with relevant managers.Ensure documentation reflects current practices and legal/regulatory requirements.Support the COO in reviewing operational procedures and policies for Facilities Management providers.Stakeholder EngagementVisit operational sites to engage with management and staff, gather feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.Facilitate training and communication to build HSEQ awareness across the organisation.To be SuccessfulWere looking for someone who has the below skill set and/or experiences:ISO 9001 Auditor experienceInternal Auditor and ISO Auditor ExperienceDiploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41412) or similar qualification or relevant industry experienceWorking knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and requirements;Strong commitment to high Safety, Health, and Environment workplace standards;High-level capability in planning, mapping, analysis, and reportingIntegrated Risk Management or similar qualification in Risk Management (desirable)Management System Auditing Qualifications and Experience (including but not limited to): (A) BSBAUD401A; (B) BSBAUD402B; and (C) BSBAUD504B (desirable)Diploma or Certificate IV - Quality Management & Assurance (desirable)What in it for you?See the Melbourne Market trading floor in full force it''s a unique experience!Onsite parking Our car park is free and secureRegular social events and activitiesStocked staff kitchen full functioning kitchen with plenty of fruit and snacks!Learning & Development opportunities Throughout the year we offer workshops and development opportunities15 days of Personal Leave3 Months Paid Primary Carer LeaveEmployment Hero Swag Store access to exclusive offers and discountsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) free confidential and external counselling for you and your immediate family membersHow do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.Featured jobsOccupational Health & Safety Officer3d agoHealth Safety Environment & Dangerous Goods SpecialistFedEx4d agoResearching careers?
