Were moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.About the opportunity:As our Retail Customer Service Officer, youll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. Its our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, theyre supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.This casual role commences on a pay rate of $33.66/hour, increasing to $35.98/hour after approximately 3 months, plus 12% Superannuation.You will need to be available between 8:45 am and 5:06 pm, Monday to Friday. Shifts will be scheduled (covering leave and during peak periods) and unscheduled (covering sick leave).Extensive, supportive paid training (up to 12 weeks) will be provided on commencement, Monday to Friday, 4 hours/day.Training will also be provided on sorting duties, which may involve hours from 6 am and could increase the overall hours available.Potential permanent part-time 20-hour/week opportunity coming soon!You''ll be:Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers.Managing high-value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS).Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activities.Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associated costs.Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs.Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.About you:Youre friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working in a team environment.
