The successful applicant will grow and develop within the business and proceed into more senior roles.About the roleThe key functions of this role are as follows:Complete product researchLiaise with external providers such as super funds and insurersComplete product comparisonsAssist in the development of client strategiesPrepare financial projections/reportsWrite comprehensive ROA''s and SOA''sEnsure all advice documents adhere to compliance standardsOther key points:Roster: The position is full time with 1 Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month. Part time (4 days per week) will be considered for the right applicant. McMillans offer flexible working arrangements to assist with work-life balance.Location: This role is based at McMillans office in Traralgon.Remuneration / Package: We will negotiate a suitable package with the successful candidate, considering experience, skills, etc.About YouFirstly, the specific experience you need:Previous experience as a paraplanner (preferably 1+ years) OR proven skills and interest in analytics and/or financial analysis.Completed an Advanced Diploma in financial planning (or higher) OR an interest in studying in the future.Experience writing compliant ROA''s and SOA''s (preferable).Previous experience liaising with super and insurance advice (preferable).Exposure to X-Plan and Xtools experience (preferable).Excellent knowledge of financial planning regulations and compliance OR a keen interest in financial concepts and a willingness to learn.Other important areas:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to build and maintain client relationships.Organised and proactive approach.Initiative and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and in a team.Willingness to learn and further studies.What youll get in returnThis is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a firm proud to be one of the best regional accounting and financial planning practices in Australia.Flexible working hours and remote working opportunities available.
