With operations in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, we provide Irradiation processing services to the Agricultural, Fresh Produce, Healthcare, Biosecurity, Pet Products and Packaging industries.We working closely with our customers to provide the most innovative, client-focused solutions that deliver results above and beyond expectation.About Your RoleWe are looking for a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Associate to join our team in Mickleham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing sector, ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the Office of Drug Control (ODC).Key Responsibilities:Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and internal quality systems related to irradiation of fresh produce (fruits, vegetables etc), medicinal plant products, biosecurity, and pet products.Advise processing and handling teams on correct procedures for the receiving, packaging, and treatment of primary products, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and implementation of phytosanitary measures for commodities such as fresh produce and plant-based medicines.Ensure strict hygiene and biosecurity protocols are followed throughout storage, processing, and packaging areas, including oversight of sanitation procedures, environmental monitoring, and adherence to GMP standards.Oversee the application of decontamination processes via irradiation, ensuring validated dosimetry protocols are followed and treatment parameters meet required specifications.Investigate deviations or non-conformances, support root cause analysis, and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).Maintain QA documentation, including SOPs, processing records, inspection forms, and quality reports to demonstrate compliance and process integrity.Contribute to staff training initiatives on biosecurity, hygiene standards, GMP, and quality compliance relevant to handling and processing of primary products.Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections, providing evidence of compliance and contributing to ongoing quality system improvement.Monitor production-related parameters to ensure processes meet validated treatment specifications, dosimetry requirements, and comply with relevant processing controls.Key DetailsEmployment Type: Full-timeWork Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekLocation: Mickleham, VICRenumeration $75K to $85K plus SuperannuationAbout YouStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly TGA, DAFF, ODC and ISO 11137 requirements.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation accurately.Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of working with quality management systems.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.Why Join Steritech?Be part of a dynamic and innovative team in a rapidly growing industry.Work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and regulatory excellence are valued.Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Pre-employment Medical check and Police Records check.Are you ready to apply for this role?Click Apply!
