At Smart Energy we believe in empowering our people, providing support, and fostering innovation.About the Role Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a proactive and skilled Lifecycle & Marketing Automation Specialist to join our in-house team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, youll play a key role in driving lead generation and lifecycle conversion through email, SMS, and marketing automation, while supporting organic growth via content and SEO. This role turns our existing database into a consistent, scalable revenue channel.This role is based in our vibrant Byron Bay HQ- however we are open to remote or hybrid for the right candidate.Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Plan, build, and optimise email and SMS campaigns that drive engagement, conversion, and retention.Manage automation flows across key lifecycle stages: onboarding, nurture, upsell, reactivation.Maintain a clean, segmented marketing database to enable targeted campaigns and reporting.Use behavioural triggers and segmentation to personalise communicationsCreate SEO-friendly content including landing pages, blogs, lead magnets, etc.Support cross-channel campaign delivery and ensure consistent execution across content, design, and CRMTrack and report on campaign performance to optimise ongoing strategy.You Must Have:Experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, CRM, or marketing automationDemonstrated ability to write and execute high-performing direct marketing campaignsExperience managing customer segmentation and behavioural triggersExposure to SEO content production and/or keyword optimisation (preferred)Strong familiarity with CRM, email, and marketing platforms (tools flexible)What You Bring:Strong writing, organisation, and attention to detailCreative thinker who also works well with structure and systemsResults-driven and able to interpret data to improve performanceProactive, reliable, and able to manage competing deadlinesTeam player with a growth mindset and ability to adaptWe offer a fantastic work-life balance, Monday Friday hours, pub lunches, Friday drinks and real opportunities to grow within the company.
