This role is suited to an experienced professional looking to contribute to cutting-edge manufacturing processes in a dynamic and supportive environment.In this role, youll be responsible for the development, optimisation, and implementation of CNC programs using advanced CAD/CAM software. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to translate specifications into efficient, high-precision machining outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, simulate, and optimise CNC programs for complex components.Operate and support CNC machines during setup and production runs.Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide support to operators.Interpret detailed drawings, GD&T symbols, and customer specifications.Use metrology equipment for inspection, including CMM and laser scanning.Maintain tooling libraries and generate documentation for repeatability.Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and compliance initiatives.Required Qualifications & ExperienceTrade or Engineering qualifications, or equivalent experience in a similar role.Minimum 2 years'' experience in CAD/CAM programming and CNC machining.Proficiency in software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, Edgecam, and Vericut.Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Okuma IGF, Mazak).Experience in aerospace machining and tight-tolerance geometric work.Key Skills & AttributesHigh level of technical and analytical problem-solving.Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.Effective time management and attention to detail.Ethical, respectful, and committed to safety and quality standards.Additional RequirementsCurrent Queensland Open Drivers Licence.Willingness to follow safety procedures and contribute to a positive work culture.Ability to comply with authorised instructions and perform relevant duties within skillset.Why Join?
