We support our clients with professionals who bring deep technical expertise, integrity, and performance to every project.We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Safety Engineer (Loss Prevention) to be seconded to our clients design engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact oil & gas projects at the design phase.Key Responsibilities:Provide loss prevention and technical safety expertise during the design and engineering stages of upstream and downstream oil & gas projects.Lead and support key safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, EERA, and SIMOPS.Develop safety documentation including Fire Protection Philosophy, Escape Route Analysis, and Fire Protection System Design.Collaborate with process, piping, layout, and electrical disciplines to ensure safety principles are integrated into design deliverables.Ensure compliance with international codes, client specifications, and local regulations.Participate in design reviews and client meetings to present safety inputs and address actions.Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.810 years experience in a safety or loss prevention engineering role, preferably in FEED and EPC environments.Experience with oil & gas design engineering (onshore/offshore).Knowledge of international design codes (NFPA, API, IEC, etc.) and safety regulations.Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.Proficiency in tools like PIPENET, DNV PHAST, FLACS is advantageous.Preferred:Experience with PETRONAS or regional operators.Secondment experience in engineering consultancies or EPC firms.Why Kemuncak Lanai?We match technical professionals with meaningful opportunities for career growth.
