Payroll OfficerMelbourne-based | Full timeKinetic is Australia and New Zealands largest bus operator and a proud employer of over 6,000 people. Were looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our People team, supporting payroll operations for a large, diverse workforce.This is a critical role ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, employee record management, and compliance with legislation and industrial instruments.About the RoleAs our Payroll Officer, youll work across multiple pay cycles weekly, fortnightly, and monthly covering both wages and salaried staff. Youll be responsible for processing payroll data, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing support and advice to managers and staff on payroll matters.This role would suit a resilient, detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong working relationships across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll data accurately and on time across multiple pay frequenciesMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with company policy and legislationInterpret and apply various Enterprise Agreements and AwardsPrepare payroll reconciliations and reportsSupport compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax obligationsDeliver high-quality payroll advice to stakeholders and respond to government enquiries as requiredContribute to continuous improvement and payroll-related projectsWhat Were Looking ForPrior experience in end-to-end payroll processingExperience with iChris / TIMS Payroll desirableStrong understanding of relevant employment legislation, Awards and EA interpretationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAdvanced computer literacy including ExcelAbility to manage competing deadlines and maintain confidentialityWhat We OfferA supportive, close-knit team within a well-established and growing organisationExposure to a large and diverse payroll across multiple sitesOpportunities to contribute to process improvement and best practiceCareer development within the wider People & Culture teamApply now and play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, every time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
