The team delivers data engineering, data analytics, data science and data governance support and leads the administration of the Athlete Management System and AIS Hub digital platform for the Australian high-performance system.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Data Governance Custodian to lead data governance initiatives and support ASC strategic projects. They will manage the implementation of ASC data policies and projects to grow compliance and support evidence-informed decision making.In consultation and collaboration with the Director Sport Intelligence & Analytics, the Data Governance Custodian will lead data governance activities to achieve team and business outcomesAbout youEssential Criteria:Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth strategies and policies for data governance.Demonstrates highly developed skills and experience in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and in implementing their strategies, processes and reporting.Demonstrates highly developed research and problem-solving skills with a focus on data.Demonstrates skills and experience in coordinating and delivering strategic outcomes.Demonstrates ability to form and contribute to cohesive, collaborative and outcome driven cross organisational project teams.Strong and adaptable communication skills with the ability to drive network engagement and to gain confidence and respect with key stakeholders.Demonstrates capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform senior management to support decision making.Affinity for and / or a keen knowledge and interest in high performance sport.Bachelor''s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Library and Information Science - or other relevant professional knowledge and skills.Knowledge of working in a complex and dynamic environment with widely different maturity levels, governance arrangements and practices.Experience working with sport organisations.This position is offered as ongoingposition.Why work with us?We have offices located in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
