We believe in the right of all people to be connected and are united in our resolution to provide communication solutions to all reaches of the world.Who we are looking forThis Role is within Gilat Satellite Networks Australia, reporting to the Delivery and Services Manager, and will be responsible for installing, integrating, and maintaining the satellite communication systems, supporting infrastructure and management interfaces, as well as providing technical support to internal and external customers.What you will doConfigure, maintain, and support Gilat and third-party products infrastructure (Networking, RF, Satellite communication, security, reporting and monitoring)Perform site survey, on-site installation and deep problems analysis of the satellite platform and communication systems.Provide technical support and troubleshoot outages, degradation, and customer complaints for Gilat Satellite platforms at various customer locations.Engage with customer technical staff to define their requirements and incorporate the same into the overall network design.Become Customer trusted advisor.Perform Proactive network analysis, performance fine tuning and fault resolution for Gilat platforms and integrated networking infrastructure.Travel regularly within the country and region to support and manage multiple customer projects.Design and manage tools for network monitoring and automatic resolution of problems.Provide analysis reports, technical documentation, and frontal training.Follow up and Resolve Customer Requests within SLA.Work closely with global teams to ensure seamless integration of satellite networks with existing customer infrastructure and services.Document network configurations, procedures, and support activities.Stay updated on the latest satellite networking technologies and industry trends.Working with ITIL aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Change and Continuous improvement)Performs other related duties as assigned.Commitment to achieving team goals.RequirementsTechnical Skills and QualificationsDegree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or other relevant qualification5 years experience in networking. Cisco Certifications CCNA and CCNP.5 years experience in managing virtual machine environments such as KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and vSphere.5 years experience in scripting/programing languages (e.g. Perl, php, python, Ruby, bash, batch)4 years experience working with Gilat SkyEdge-IIc Platforms (SE-IIc and SEIV) installation, integration and support with different services supported on each technology: Satellite Backhauling (2G, 3G, 4G), TCP/IP, VoIP (SIP, H323)4 years experience in Satellite communications technologies (DVB, DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, TDMA, SCPC, MFTDMA) and link budget, frequency planning and network analysis2 years experience in Network Monitoring Systems (Cacti, Zabbix, Grafana) and Linux OS administration1 years experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes.Ability to travel when required across the country and region to support customers.
