Perth, Western Australia Full TimeJob DetailsYour responsibilities will include:Actively contribute to the organisation, planning, delivery, and evaluation of teaching, including unit coordination.Demonstrate best practices, innovative teaching methods, and support the teaching community of the School and the Discipline in implementing these approaches.Undertake world-class research, resulting in research student completions, publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, and successful grant applications.Actively engage with the Ecology Discipline and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.Apply relevant health and safety standards, including responsibilities for supervisors of undergraduate and research students.Promote the Ecology Discipline within and outside the University community by engaging in service and leadership roles, as well as outreach activities.In all interactions with staff and students, demonstrate the University values of integrity, respect, courage, excellence, and impact.RequirementsEssential Criteria:PhD in Marine Ecology, Marine Biology, or related discipline and post-doctoral research experience.Demonstrated evidence of high-quality unit coordination and teaching in marine ecology and/or marine biology.Proven record of graduate research supervision, including conferral of Higher Degree by Research students.Ability to lead field-based research programs, including supervision of graduate and undergraduate field projects.Strong research funding success and high-quality publications relative to opportunity.Commitment to collegiality, demonstrated through collaborative work and excellent communication with colleagues and students.Desirable:Boating: A domestic certificate of competency issued by AMSA, e.g., Coxswain Grade 2 near coastal or higher.Diving: General Work Diving (Scientific) Qualification, aligned with AS/NZS2815.6:2013.Contact InformationCurtin UniversityDate: 6/8/2025 10:04:13 AMClosing Date: 6/13/2025 12:00:00 AMShare this jobAbout this companyCurtin Universitys Ecology Discipline, part of the School of Molecular and Life Sciences, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Lecturer to enhance our teaching and research in Coastal & Marine Science and Environmental Science.We are a collaborative marine research team with expertise in fish and fisheries ecology, coral taxonomy, ecotoxicology, and molecular ecology.
