With a dedicated staff, strong community partnerships, and a focus on student success, Centenary Heights is a rewarding and inspiring place to work.Lead The Junior Secondary (Years 7-9) Department ThroughCoordinating high school transition programs, including parent information evenings, Year 7 Transition Day, Year 7 Interface, school tours, and Year 6 classroom visitsLiaising with feeder primary schools to understand individual student and cohort needsSupporting the Year 7 Camp team to coordinate and run the annual Year 7 CampWorking with the Timetabling Deputy Principal and other Heads of Department to design appropriate Teaching Transition Teams to support Year 7 students and faculty-specific staffing needsLeading Year 7 Teaching Transition Teams to support student engagement, learning needs, and social-emotional developmentCollaborating with the Diverse Learning Deputy Principal to assign future Year 7 students into appropriate class groupingsSupporting the Year 7, 8, and 9 Heads of Year to guide the social-emotional and academic needs of students in the early years of high schoolLeading the coordination of the Junior School Leaders program, including selection processes, attendance at school and community events, and support for student leader meetingsAssisting the Deputy Principal to facilitate NAPLAN, ensuring all QCAA processes and timelines are metLead The Languages Department ThroughManaging the human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources of the Languages Department to meet goals outlined in the School''s Annual Implementation PlanSupporting faculty staff to maintain high expectations of teaching and learning, focusing on whole-school pedagogical practicesLeading curriculum and assessment alignment to support school and departmental initiativesCoordinating School of Distance Education enrolments with relevant Guidance Officers, serving as the school''s point of contact, facilitating exams, and supporting student engagementPlease refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
