Youll belong.How will you contribute?Joining the Audit Office means being part of a team dedicated to excellence, integrity, and making a tangible difference for the people of NSW.We are seeking a strong and experienced technology professional for the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a six-month fixed term contract to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate, Experience and Strategy, you will lead an information technology team ensuring that services, products and platforms provided by the team meet the requirements of employees, other stakeholders, and the broader strategic objectives of the Audit Office. You will also be required to ensure that the Audit Offices strategic risk on cyber is managed within organisational risk tolerances.Key responsibilities of this role include:Developing and implement an information technology strategy that aligns with and delivers to the Audit Offices corporate strategy.Ensuring the Audit Offices information technology services, infrastructure and systems meet business needs and adhere to recordkeeping and other legislative and policy requirements.Supporting the Executive Director Corporate, Experience and Strategy on Audit Offices change management strategies, particularly as they relate to information technology.Actively managing and addressing critical events to ensure the Audit Offices information technology systems, capabilities and services are not disrupted or compromised.Advocating information technology solutions that support delivery of our Corporate Plan.Effectively managing the performance of the Information Services team to achieve the Audit Offices vision, mission, values, goals and strategies.Ensuring the integrity of the Audit Offices Information Security Management System and maintain the ongoing confidentiality, security and availability of both Audit Office and client data and information.Ensuring the Audit Offices ISMS remains accredited as ISO27001 and that the Audit Office is compliant with the NSW Cyber Security Policy.Driving the implementation work required to ensure the Audit Office meets its Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential 8 targets.Effectively delivering information technology projects to meet time, cost and quality requirements.Evolving business operations with a focus on improving business productivity and championing new ways of working.Delivering specific corporate/team objectives as agreed to achieve the vision, mission, values, goals and strategies of the Audit Office.Ensuring compliance with the Audit Office Code of Conduct and all other internal policies, business rules and procedures including records management and workplace health and safety policies.What will you learn?We will challenge and develop you, encourage your curiosity, open-mindedness and courage. With a focus on wellbeing, we support you to perform at your best and achieve meaningful outcomes in your role.What will you need to succeed?You will have a strong track record of achievement in a senior Technology leadership role, and demonstrated ability to execute and deliver Technology strategy, including services, products and platforms provided by the Technology team.You will also need:A tertiary qualification such as Business, Information Technology or Information Systems.A deep industry and technical knowledge of digital transformation practices.A proven track record of developing and successfully executing long-term strategies while meeting short-term business requirements.Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery and cyber security plans and strategies within a technology environment.Experience with Amazon Web Services platform.Experience with Microsoft tools including M365, device management and cyber related tooling.Preferred experience with an IT governance framework ISO27001, NIST or NSW Cyber Security PolicyAustralian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen.Successful police and formal qualifications checks.What are the benefits?We provide genuine flexibility in the way we work, along with competitive benefits.On offer is flexible work practices and a total remuneration package (including superannuation) starting from $219,871 per annum depending on experience, skills and capabilities.The Audit Office is a rewarding, challenging and impactful place to work where we value diversity and take a collaborative approach to getting things done.
