With a reputation for innovation, precision engineering, and quality, Abcor is now entering an exciting new phase within the businessAs part of this evolution, Abcor is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its manufacturing, quality, safety, and maintenance functions across all four divisions & key sites.The OpportunityThe COO will drive operational excellence by setting and executing the manufacturing strategy. With full operational responsibility, youll be accountable for:Leading end-to-end operations, ensuring output, quality, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met.Driving continuous improvement, labour optimisation, and cost control across all facilities.Building cross-divisional collaboration to maximise performance and streamline processes.Championing a strong safety culture, high standards, and consistent alignment with business values.Mentoring and empowering a high-performing operations leadership team.This is a newly created role designed to strengthen leadership capability and position the business for its next stage of growth.Skills & Expertise RequiredWe''re looking for a commercially minded manufacturing leader who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment:7+ years experience at Site Manager and / or Operations Director level within a similar setting. Ideally with multi-site leadership experience.Significant experience within automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors.Proven track record across both multinational/blue-chip and SME/family-owned businesses.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels and functions.Deep understanding of manufacturing best practice, workforce engagement, and operational metrics.Cultural & Leadership FitAbcors culture is defined by humility, accountability, and a passion for quality.
