Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to our customers equipment. This is a position in which you can work autonomously and make it your own with the full support of our Melbourne branch and our wider company branch network. Key responsibilities include: * Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance * Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base in the region * Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork * Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures To be successful in the role, you will possess: * Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic). * Proven track-record as a heavy diesel mechanic with earthmoving/heavy machinery experience * OEM equipment experience highly regarded * Current drivers license * Ability to work autonomously in the region and proactively solve technical issues * Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette * An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures At Hitachi, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer who recruits based on merit and capabilities.
