In addition, we offer specialised services in animal transportation; leading the change in animal movements, and vocational education; inspiring the future of professional pet careers through Hanrob College.With 40 years of experience and over 250 powerful pet loving staff, we are making leaps and bounds in the pet industry as we continue to lead the future of pet services in Australia.About the RoleWe are seeking 10 CASUAL Pet Care Attendants to join our pool of casual employees and earn big $$ during our School Holiday peak period! Successful candidates must be available to work weekends and the upcoming July school holidays, with great penalty rates for Saturdays and Sundays.Energetic & reliable dog and cat lovers are needed to join our team of passionate Pet Care & Animal Attendants at our Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare located in Heathcote in Sydneys South.Full-time hours are available during the school holidays, with high performing team members to be retained for extra shifts available after the School Holidays are over. These roles would also suit uni/TAFE students and mature/senior high school students interested in working each school holiday period to earn money while school is on break!Important: Successful candidates MUST be available to participate in Training and Onboarding in the first week of July.Shifts will be rostered across 7 days a week between 7am and 3pm, which means you have your afternoons free to catch up with friends and family.Key accountabilities:animal welfarecleaningcustomer serviceThese roles are responsible for the provision of high quality pet welfare and care for both boarding pet guests and doggy daycare guests which includes cleaning kennels, feeding pets, basic washing/grooming and enrichment/exercising of pets. Our Pet Care & Animal Attendants also provide excellent customer service when engaging with our clients at pick up and drop off.About YouYou are reliable, motivated and experienced in caring for animals, with genuine affection for cats and dogs. To be a high performer in this role, you will:Be available to work shifts starting at 7am, Monday to Sunday inclusive and have availability to work 38 hours of shifts during school holidays / peak periods.Have the flexibility to cover other unplanned absences at short notice from time to time.Preferably have previous experience working in vet clinics, doggy daycares, kennels or catteries.Ideally be certified in animal studies and/or companion animal services (or currently studying).A licensed driver with your own car to get to/from work, or can rely on guaranteed transport from a friend/family member, as Public Transport does not service our location during hours of operation.Prepared to jump at the chance to help others in your team.Able to work at a brisk pace and carry out tasks to required timeframes.Able to work independently, and willing to ask for guidance for more complex matters.A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork.Committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures.Willing and able to adhere to Hanrob Pet Hotels'' operating procedures and Work Health & Safety requirements at all times.IMPORTANT: This is an active and physical role working across the Pet Hotel. The incumbents will be required to work indoors and outdoors (sometimes in inclement weather conditions), and in close proximity to cats and dogs, on their feet for a significant portion of their day.
