For over 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising old age as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Joondanna Aged Care Home, on a permanent part-time basis. The successful applicant will need to be available to work the following shifts:Week 1: Mon: 7-1pm Tues: 7-1pm Friday 3-7pmWeek 2: Mon: 7-1pm Tues: 3-7pm Thurs: 3-7pmTo be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.About YouPossess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environmentHave a can do attitude and a genuine compassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinationsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)The RoleEnsuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standardsEnsuring required ingredients are available dailyAssisting in the preparation and serving of mealsMaintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe conditionCollecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutleryWorking with BethanieMany of us work because we want to make a difference.
