Go back Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation TrustCleanerThe closing date is 29 June 2025There is an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at St Leonards HospitalThis post is 12 hours.5.00pm till 8:00pm (times can be adjusted)The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward based environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained. Full on-site training is provided and PPE provision is also included.Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.Main duties of the jobThis post is part of the (Facilities & Estates / Procurement) Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, expanding, organisation with a strong commitment to NHS values and putting patients first. The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff it recruits itself.To support the Facilities Supervisor in their role and to ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the Trust is implemented andmaintained.Main duties will include vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, emptying bins, use of mechanical floor cleaning machines.This role involves working as a team, with a flexible approach, good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.All the above vacancies offer an opportunity to work extra hours as able - to cover sickness and staff holidays.Good pay rates, 27 day annual leave per year to start plus BH and weekend enhancements if requiredAbout usAt Dorset HealthCare we''re on a mission to empower people to make the most of their lives through our outstanding, joined-up healthcare services.
