Your role will see you providing companionship and emotional support and where possible, promote independence and community participation to help our services users live with greater agency and integrity.A day in the life as a Support Worker with Simply Helping Gippsland South and West may see you support our clients with;In-home support with health issues and daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, transport and budgetingAssist clients with domestic activities such as eating meals and showeringProvide companionship and support during daily activitiesCook and serve meals, clean premises, wash, iron and perform other household tasksAssist people with self-medication or more complex care programs involving tracheostomy, catheter care and more (for those who have a minimum Cert III qualification in Disability Support/Aged Care)What we''re looking forCertificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Supports, Aged Care, Nursing or equivalent (ideal but not mandatory.)
