We currently employ over 2,000 personnel across various operations in our active market.Base award hourly rate for this role is $24.98 plus casual loading ($31.22 per hour Mon-Fri).About the roleWe are seeking a Catering Assistant/Kitchenhand to join our modern kitchen team at our clients aged care facility located in Casino, NSW.This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals and self-starters to join our team at a state-of-the-art aged care facility.Hours of employment: 20-25 hours per week.Monday to Friday from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm.Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate or be willing to apply for one.Skills and experienceAged Care experience is desirable but not necessary.Reliable and punctual.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff, and clients.Ability to support the chefs and team in a busy kitchen.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding meal service to elderly residents.Cleaning of kitchen, serveries, and dining room setup.Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents.Washing dishes and plating meals.Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen.Function setup and cleanup.Assisting the Chef and Chef Manager with daily tasks.Food and beverage service.Benefits and perksCompetitive hourly rate plus penalty loadings as per Hospitality Award.Comprehensive training from our experienced management team.Staff Benefits program with over 100 retail discounts.Why work with Catering Industries?We are a family-owned and operated business, valuing our people as our backbone.
