Head of Business Transformation & Strategy Known internally as Assistant Vice President and reporting to the CFO Finance Director, this role is responsible for leading the strategic planning process, driving business development initiatives, and overseeing program management to ensure the successful execution of company objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business development, and program management. The role will support the Executive leadership team in strategic planning and support the development of long-range goals and strategic priorities. POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consult and collaborate with business leaders, including Senior Executives across all functions, to define business needs and prioritise initiatives. Develop the organisations strategic priorities and long-range planning roadmap in partnership with the Executive team, ensuring alignment with the companys Vision and business goals. Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact, cross-functional business initiatives within the company''s strategic project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and driving business performance. Proactively identify and address potential risks that could hinder the successful execution of the business plan, implementing effective mitigation strategies. Collaborate closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment on business targets, budget allocations, resource requirements, and ROI projections, fostering a unified approach to achieving organisational goals. Conduct financial modelling and ROI analysis in partnership with Finance to support informed decision-making and strategic planning. Ensure transparency and alignment across the organisation regarding strategic goals and initiatives. Lead the Portfolio governance process, facilitate Executive Steering committee updates, and provide regular progress and performance updates to the broader company leadership team. Guide business change management to ensure successful adoption and integration of changes across the organisation, fostering a smooth transition and minimising disruption. Identify and execute business development strategies to drive growth and expand market share. Cultivate and leverage industry contacts to identify and evaluate strategic partnership and acquisition opportunities. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover potential opportunities and emerging threats, informing strategic decision-making and risk management. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. DIMENSIONS Lead and support strategy programs across all TJX Australia functions, including Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising, Planning, HR, IT, and Finance. Collaborate with international project teams and committees as required. IDEAL EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES Bachelors degree in Business Administration, MBA, or equivalent experience. 5 years experience in strategic planning, business development, and program management, especially with large cross-functional projects. Experience leading cross-functional activities. Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and build rapport with business partners. Strong leadership skills, acting as a collaborative partner with senior leadership. Effective management skills including interviewing, negotiating, conflict resolution, and active listening.
