Our Herd was born. We have reached thousands of young people with safe, moderated stories of mental health and recovery, helping to remove stigma and support young people navigating a complex mental health system. After receiving another significant funding grant for Our Herd, which will support its growth and development over the next five years, batyr is looking for someone to lead the next phase of Our Herds evolution. The role also considers how digital platforms and products can support batyrs broader mission. About This Position The Head of Digital Products will set the vision and strategy for developing digital products and platforms at batyr. This role will align batyrs digital and data strategies with our 2030 strategic plan. Leading the strategic growth of Our Herd, this role will combine an understanding of impact and product development to help scale Our Herd globally. Our focus is young people, and this role will ensure our digital products and strategy meet their evolving needs. As with all our employees, you will have an active interest in tackling stigma around mental health among young people and align with batyrs five values: empathy, inclusivity, balance, positivity, and boldness. All candidates will need to hold a current Working with Children Check and Police Check or be willing to obtain these within one month of starting the role. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Planning: Lead and grow the digital product team, fostering a high-performance culture based on trust, collaboration, and accountability. Define and champion the product vision and long-term strategy for digital products. Develop and maintain product roadmaps to guide delivery and align with strategic priorities. Use user research, market trends, and youth insights to inform product strategy and decisions. Embed co-design practices with young people to ensure products deliver meaningful, measurable impact based on lived experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution Lead collaboration across engineering, design, and the broader batyr team to deliver high-quality, impactful products. Oversee the product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration. Prioritize product features by balancing youth feedback, business needs, and technical considerations. Lead release planning and manage expectations for feature delivery. Other Key Responsibilities Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing digital product team. Provide clear reporting and insights to internal stakeholders and funders, sharing KPIs and impact metrics regularly. Manage budgets and resourcing, providing accurate forecasts to support delivery and growth. Project costs and provide financial projections for product development. Promote a customer-centric culture, keeping young people at the core of product decisions. Provide visionary leadership with the discipline to execute and deliver. Demonstrate success in leading digital product teams focused on new frontiers. Proven track record of delivering consumer-focused products end-to-end. Understanding of co-design and research-driven product development. Experience growing customer usage over time in B2C products. Proven experience leading agile development programs on budget and on time. Passion for helping young people live happier, mentally healthy lives.
