You will work closely with your team to achieve department budgets and KPIs.Your duties will include:Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resourcesMotivating workshop fitters and apprentices, prioritising safety and excellenceAllocating resources and labour effectively for timely service deliveryCoordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction in machine performance, product, workmanship, and warrantyEnsuring compliance with WHS responsibilities and fostering a safety-first cultureApplying QA processes and ensuring compliance with all workshop systemsManaging Work In Progress (WIP) of workshop work orders, controlling costs, and seeking process improvementsAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you should have:Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualificationsSupervisory experience with strong leadership skillsA safety focus with a solid understanding of WHS principlesExperience in maintaining earthmoving equipment (experience with Hitachi equipment is an advantage)Excellent time management skillsInitiative to support continuous improvement and drive changeStrong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on stakeholder engagementAt Hitachi, we value our people and support your career development.
