You will work in Clarence Correctional Centre, Australias largest correctional facility, helping inmates prepare for reintegration into society.In this role, you will: Supervise and manage inmates while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration Conduct searches, monitor inmate activities, and maintain a structured, secure environment Use communication and problem-solving skills to defuse tense situations and maintain order Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inmate welfareSerco is a place for youTo be successful in this role, youll have: A willingness to obtain Certificate III in Correctional Practice (training provided) Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with inmates and staff Resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure Problem-solving skills and sound judgment in high-pressure situations Physical fitness to meet the demands of the roleYou do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
