We are part of Humanity Health Groups family of brands.About The RoleAt Generation Care, you will assist older Australians to live a safe and independent life while participating in activities they wish to. Our work is predominately face to face and has high levels of autonomy as we are a mobile, community-based service. Our services are provided in the clients home.Specific Duties Will IncludeManaging your day-to-day client activities to support positive outcomes for your clients and their families.Assessment and recommendation of mobility devices including walking frames, wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and electric mobilty scooters.Assessment and recommendation of assistive technology to improve quality of lifeAssessment and recommendation of pressure care devices including beds, mattresses and cushionsAssessment and recommendation of minor home modifications including ramps and rails to support clients remaining in their own homes.Provide client-driven, evidence-based assessment services to clients in their home and community environments, focusing on their personal goal attainmentProvide therapy services either individually or as a member of an interdisciplinary teamLiaise with builders and external stakeholders such as medical equipment stores to complete client requirements and finalise quotes for services.Liaise with external stakeholders, such as other health professionals, care co-ordinators, family members, to achieve the best outcomesProvide accurate, timely and high-quality reports aligned with Homecare Guidelines.Complete SWEP applications as required.Essential RequirementsAn approved degree in Occupational TherapyFull registration with AHPRAPassion for supporting people to maximise their independence and realise their full potentialExcellent communicator and able to meet timely communication with stakeholdersCurrent and unrestricted drivers license with access to own vehicleWhat we offer:Its our people-centric health, wellbeing and development initiatives that separate us from the rest.
