Join to apply for the Gas Operations Manager role at SIMEC Energy Australia1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Gas Operations Manager role at SIMEC Energy AustraliaGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Direct message the job poster from SIMEC Energy AustraliaTalent Acquisition Consultant - IT, Manufacturing, Construction, RecyclingAbout the roleReporting to the General Manager Energy Markets, this role will be responsible for the sourcing and supply security of natural gas requirements to maximise overall value for the business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage all-natural gas supply, purchase, network and service agreements to deliver the best commercial outcomes for the businessMonitor natural gas prices and facilitating value in use discussionsFormulate, execute and manage sourcing strategies for gas and environmental products that align with long-term sustainability and cost-efficiency goalsManage the end-to-end process of negotiation, development and formation/ preparation of contracts for supply, transportation and storage of natural gasContribute to external energy and climate change policy advocacyThis role will require some weekend work.To be successful in this role you will have:Formal qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, or a related disciplinePrevious experience in gas trading and operations in the Australian market, including co-ordination of activities with AEMO pipeline operators and other market participants.Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on strict deadlinesStrong reporting skills SQL and Power BI experience idealAbility to work independently, multi-task and possess strong commercial acumenExcellent communication skills and the ability to co-ordinate and engage relevant internal and external stakeholdersBelow are some of our key central benefits that are available to all employees.
