Research Development and Partnership AdvisorJoin to apply for the Research Development and Partnership Advisor role at James Cook UniversityResearch Development and Partnership Advisor4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Research Development and Partnership Advisor role at James Cook UniversityDirect message the job poster from James Cook UniversityTalent Acquisition Specialist @ James Cook University | Global Talent AcquisitionGrow your career at a world-renowned research institution making a real difference in tropical and regional health, science, and education.Enjoy real work-life balance with generous leave entitlements, flexible work options, and a supportive team culture.Based in Townsville where you can enjoy a tropical lifestyle & have a career!$94,374 - $104,359 + 17% superannuationJames Cook University (JCU) is seeking a strategic and motivated Research Development and Partnership Advisor to join our dynamic Research and Innovation Services team.Representing the research office and embedded in the College of Science and Engineering, this role plays a key part in identifying and advancing research priorities, fostering opportunities, and supporting researchers across disciplines to grow JCUs research performance and external engagement.What youll do:Engage with researchers, understand priorities and implement innovative strategies to progress opportunities.Create research pathways through engaging with potential external partners and articulating the research strengths of the college and wider university.Support researchers by identifying potential research partners and facilitating/negotiating collaborative opportunities.Provide expert strategic and practical advice to support the progress of college research priorities.Represent the research office and provide advice to inform due diligence processes for research-related activities.Coordinate the flow of research opportunity information, particularly for cross-disciplinary and large partnership projects.Deliver reports, partnership insights, and facilitate workshops that enhance research capability and outcomes.What youll bring:Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience informing an understanding of research projects .Practical research knowledge and experience in a discipline relevant to the College of Science and Engineering (earth and environmental science, engineering, information technology, marine biology, aquaculture, zoology, ecology and/or physical sciences).Proven ability to identify institutional capabilities and align them with external partnership opportunities.Exceptional ability to engage with industry and community, building relationships and opening up potential opportunity for collaboration.Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities, along with multiple internal and external relationships.Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with academic, industry, and government stakeholders.Willingness to travel to conferences or to meet industry partners on an infrequent basis off campus.Why Join Us?At JCU, were more than just a universitywere a community that thrives on collaboration, discovery, and impact.
