Technical Officer - RCR Mining TechnologiesRCR Mining Technologies | BunburyRCR Mining Technologies is seeking a Technical Officer to join our expanding Service Delivery team. This role supports the delivery of RCRs OEM equipment overhauls, site works, installations, commissioning, and audits by combining deep technical knowledge with frontline leadership. Operating across both site and office environments, the Technical Officer is responsible for planning and supporting the execution of safe, high-quality, and commercially sound works.Key Responsibilities:Develop job deliverables, including scopes, estimates, proposals, schedules, QA/QC documentation, and methodologies.Oversee the preparation of tooling and personnel compliance documentation for site mobilisation (e.g., tooling lists, pre-start packs) and complete directly when required.Coordinate onsite teams (supervisors, trades, HSE) during project execution.Lead daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety discussions.Support supervisors to ensure maximum presence and focus at the job front.Apply technical knowledge to assist teams conducting OEM equipment overhauls.Interpret technical drawings and scopes; provide practical guidance to field teams.Identify and document non-conformances and corrective actions during execution.Ensure workmanship meets RCR and client quality expectations and complies with relevant Australian Standards.Supervise and coordinate blue-collar field teams and external contractors.Support onboarding and competency verification of field crews.Mentor junior supervisors and technicians, promoting high standards in safety, quality, and technical execution.Identify and report variations or scope changes in real-time.Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and commercial controls.Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, ensuring alignment on expectations and delivery.Contribute to project close-out reports, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications and RequirementsCertificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trades or Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic; orTertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineValid Western Australian Drivers LicenceConstruction White CardMinimum 5 years experience in a supervision or superintendent roleProven leadership of multi-disciplinary teamsStrong technical experience with fixed plant equipmentExperience in delivering shutdowns or installations of fixed plant equipmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft ProjectAbility to interpret scopes, technical drawings, and QA proceduresExperience with estimating and schedule developmentExcellent communication and reporting skillsWhat we offer you:Excellent salary and benefits packageIncome Protection & Life InsurancePaid Parental Leave benefitsDiscounted Private Health InsuranceSalary Sacrifice optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)About Us:Service Delivery is a key division of RCR Mining Technologies, a market leader in the design and manufacture of innovative, award-winning materials handling solutions.
