For a full list of employee benefits please visit the Employment page on our website here: the role:The Training and Development Coordinator is to drive, plan, procure, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, document and report on training activities within the East Arnhem Regional Council (EARC).To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:Diploma or Advance Diploma in Training, Business or Human Resource Management, or a minimum (2) years experience.Proven strong customer focus and work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.Proven hands-on experience in organising and coordinating multiple training events in a corporate and/or community setting. This includes designing and delivering in house training such as inductions and other required courses.The ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.High level of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.The ability to negotiate, influence outcomes and problem solve training related issues.Excellent computer literacy skills including the Microsoft Suite.Skills in planning, organising, prioritising and co-ordinating your own workload in a rapidly changing environment.Itwould be desirable if you also possessed:Previous experience in a similar position within the Local Government Industry.Previous experience living and/or working in remote Australian First Nations communities.Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a multi-cultural workplace.Awareness of issues affecting First Nations People in Australia.All employment with the EARC is subject to a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance.
