Associate Architect Front-End Design FocusLocation: Sydney | Salary: Up to $130k + Super | Full-TimeKappa Executive Search is recruiting on behalf of a Sydney CBD-based studio for an Associate Architect with a strong focus on early-stage design, feasibility, and planning. This senior role offers the opportunity to shape and lead front-end project phases across significant mixed-use, multi-residential, hotel, commercial, and public projects.The ideal candidate will be confident running complex projects from feasibility through to design development, with a strong grasp of NSW planning frameworks, SEPP, ADG, and local authority engagement.Key Responsibilities:Lead feasibility studies, planning assessments, and early project strategyDrive massing, urban design responses and planning compliancePrepare and coordinate Planning Proposals, SSDAs and DAsEngage directly with clients, consultants, authorities, and design panelsOversee early-stage Revit documentation and guide transition to later phasesSupport and mentor team members in design executionRequirements:Registered Architect (NSW) preferredDemonstrated experience in front-end design leadershipStrong knowledge of SEPP, ADG, NSW planning controlsProven experience delivering multi-residential or mixed-use projectsProficient in Revit for concept and early-stage documentationConfident communicator with ability to lead planning and stakeholder processesAustralian citizenship or permanent residency requiredThe Studio:Join a design-led, collaborative practice known for its rigour and creativity in shaping meaningful built outcomes.
